Name: Andreas Dimitri
Gender: Male
Race: Elynian
Age: It's very hard to guess his age. He's young, but looks (and acts) like a mature adult most of the time.
Nation of Origin: Ignis
Type: Aurorae
Role: He was a student, and wanted to be a teacher. People always take his words seriously. He was also a very skilled dancer, and his body is surprinsingly flexible. Now he uses such skills to run away from danger (or
into danger...)
Appearance: Andreas is lean, but resistent, and disturbingly beautiful, something he's aware of. His hair is short near the scruff, but getting longer and longer bangs; when he has the time, he keeps them tied in an intrincate braid close to his head. Now, when the urge to survive is bigger than any vanity, he just let it fall around his head, frequently falling over his eyes. The natural color of his streaks and eyes are a dim indigo, sometimes seeming more like a deep purple, others more like a very dark blue. This color, with the silver freckles in his irises, make his eyes look like the nightsky, something uncomfortable to most Elynians even before the arrive of the Tenebra, when they lived in constant light. Andreas aura can be terribly strong and is very expressive, it's color keeping track of his emotions like a giant "mood ring". But he can also fake it slightly, being a natural artist.
Personality: Andreas always had something performatic in his nature; being deprecated by his older brother (more on his history below), he used his strong aura and few natural gifts to get some attention, only to mask a shy personality. It's very hard to tell when he's lying, and he can believe in what he's saying. He carries a constant feeling of guilt, and is frequently sad, but not necessarily pessimistic, as he turned out a good survivor in the new circumstances of his homeland. He counts more on his skills to bluff and run away than fighting. Andreas can be persuasive, charming or terrible, easily finding weak spots in the personality of everyone around him; he can act menacing or surprinsingly fragile, depending on what would work best to conquer an alliance: Respect, or compassion.
General History: Andreas family was close to the Great Lux of the Ignis continent: He was Andreas' grand-uncle. But his family had little chance to any inheritance, considering the Lux had a big family on his own. But since he was a child, all the family noticed he had an aura different from the others, lively and stronger than his adult parents ones.
The family had another son, Liam, Andreas' older brother, that reunited almost all the family gifts: talented, intelligent, polite and artistic, Liam was always a reason to his parent's pride and satisfaction. Rowdy feelings grew inside the younger brother, at the same time loving this caring and inspiring character, and some childish envy. When the great Lux was consumed by the Tenebra, some dark ideas also bloomed inside the hearts of this family... Both parents cherishing the secret desire to see Liam as the new leader of the Ignis nation. But, for their immense worry, Andreas was growing with his terrible aura and graceful beauty, the only characteristics he could actually surpass his brother, making Liam glow pale close to him.
The children didn't know a thing about the plans around them, but noticed how their parents seemed to lit many small conflicts between the two, trying to make them enemies, and not allies. Andreas fell a little by the mentioned plan, but Liam never showed any sign of distemper or envy, only caring and smiling for his little brother. With time, Andreas finally overcame his own immaturity, and saw on his brother the best friend he ever had. They used to dance and laugh together, getting the applause of all the family's friends. Unfortunately, not for too long.
There was a day when many Elynian families reunited to decide routes, plans, anything to make their new life easier to carry on, and to protect them from the Tenebra. But, maybe by mere luck, or by some anonymous betrayal, many Tenebra found the large group and used it as buffet. Their father escaped alone, letting only the mother to protect her sons (no more children, but still too naive to survive by their own), what she died to accomplish. Liam and Andreas ran through a small passage, but were surprised and attacked by one Tenebra; first, Liam fell by it's hands. Then, it was Andreas turn. Probably the Tenebra was too full after the attack to fully absorb Andreas' powerful aura, letting the young boy live. He saw what was left of his brother, and creeped, desperate to get help, only to pass out a few meters away. When he woke up, many hours later and soaked by the rain, there was nothing else. Nothing and nobody.
After this episode, Andreas has learnt how to survive, and lost most of his simplicity. The guilt of surviving, instead of his righteous brother, however, never ceased in him. Soon he discovered that such an strong aura could make him an easy prey, and he tried his best to control it; while forging alliances by convenience, usually with Elynians physically stronger than him, he used this same aura with intelligence, often acting as bait or distraction, only to nimbly disappear before the Tenebra's eyes. He could jump high, hit the walls to get more height, and pass through small passages, windows, gaining distance no matter what obstacles was in his way. Being attentive, he could soon discover how to win one's confidence or favors, growing among the disgusting Elynian nomads and wanderers from the streets, often sacrificing part of his own dignity.
